DIY Bookmarks

Are you reading a bit more at the moment and need some extra bookmarks? Why not make some yourself! Create these fun, bright bookmarks and craft isolation away.

Find some items in your house or outside that you may want to use as stencils, or cut your own with
cardboard and paper.

What you will need:

  • X-Press It Blending Card

  • X-Press Brayer

  • Gel Press - Mono Printing plate

  • Paint

  • Scissors

Step 1:  Add a few dollops of paint onto Gel Press Plate.

Step 2: Using your brayer roll out paint to cover all of the plate evenly.

Step 3: Carefully place your stencil or cut out some shapes and place onto gel plate. Leave for about 10 seconds then remove the stencil or cut out shapes off to reveal your print.

Step 4: Place your piece of paper down onto the gel plate and press firmly. Peel off to reveal the pattern you created.

Step 5: Continue these steps with different colours and different stencils to create your desired pattern.

Step 6: Leave to dry. Once dry, cut out your book mark. You may want to punch a hole and tie a ribbon around it.

Enjoy your book!
